About Me

Ladies of Distinction Girls Mentoring Program
Ladies of Distinction is a Girls Mentoring Program focused on helping girls reach their full potential. This program provides a variety of services and experiences to help improve the overall readiness of girls to excel in middle school, high school and post graduation. Mentoring: Each girl is assigned a teacher mentor who checks in with her on a weekly basis. Education: Speakers are invited to attend our meetings to speak on a number of topics including organizational skills, post secondary options, dining/social etiquette and positive self image. Awareness: Girls are trained on effective ways to address issues that affect them everyday ie drug and alcohol abuse and human trafficking. Tours: Girls are encouraged to participate in two college tours with their parents. Service: Girls will volunteer in the community with two community service projects. optional twice monthly after school tutoring is offered.
